by Jeff on Dec.31, 2008, under Solar Power
Josh C asked:
What would I need to power a small fan, some LED lights, ect in my home, without spending hundreds or thousands of dollers? How would I set it up? I think I would need a Solar Panel, a AC/DC converter or some kind, and a Battery?

by Jeff on Dec.30, 2008, under Renovation
JustMe asked:
anybody have experience with home projects on a manufactured home? we took down the seams and are trying to mud and paint haha what a nightmare. we’re trying to make it look more like a “real” house. eventually we will need to replace the cabinets and all, i’m terrified. all the materials used in our house are of poor quality and so much was done with terrible craftsmanship (too much to list). fortunately, it’s brand new. does anyone have any advice or success stories that will make me feel better?

Best or most cost effective electric heating for my home?
by Jeff on Dec.29, 2008, under Renovation
Snowflake asked:
I bought an older home, have done a lot of renovations, and now I have come to the part of heating/cooling. We currently have a 30+ year old gas furnace and want to get rid of it and convert to electric heat/cooling. House is 2500-3000 square feet. What kind of unit(s) would be best for me? I want to keep the cost reasonable as possible. Anyone with experience in the subject please advise. Thanks!!!!

Thanks, 10 points best answer!
Oh, and by the way!
I kinda mean using solar power for companies like as a alternative to using coal, not just for your own use at home by setting up your own private solar powered devices!
Thanks!
