The bathroom is very small maybe 8×10 at BEST.

It needs to be completly gutted.

Only half the bathroom will be tiled (floor and half the shower area)

I am supplying the fixtures, toilet, new tub, and tile.

The contractor supplies the rest.

Approx what should I expect to pay? What have you paid in the past?

Can you paint / refinish a bathtub?

bathtub refinishing
M L asked:

My bathtub is this hiddeous yellow from the 70s. There is nothing wrong with it except the color. I **** to go through all the trouble to install a new one because I am sick of trying to coordinate the rest of the bathroom with the yellow tub and toilet. Is there a way I can paint the tub or strip the color off to refinish it? Toilets are inexpensive so I am not worried about replacing that.

How do I remove tile grout left on the 4″ tiles after regrouting?

by on Oct.15, 2008, under Bath

pixiegypsy asked:

My hubby glopped it all over each tile, did not use the sponge to clean the tiles and is now gone 10 weeks out of town. I am using a razor blade and scraping each tile, there are over 400 tiles and the grout is over 1/4 inch thick between the tiles. It is a mess. Should I just scrape it all off and redo it myself leaving the tiles washed off and clean with the sponge? Or is there a rinse/acid to use that I can buy at home depot??

What is the minimal cost for bathroom expansion and renovation?

flyboop_2000 asked:

My girlfriend and I are looking to purchase a home and we found a nice house in a great location; however, the bathroom is TINY and it is something I would want to renovate and expand prior to moving in. How would should a expect to spend to make simple, yet stylish renovations to the bathroom?
I know this is a very vague question being that there are a ton of factors. I am just looking to get an idea of how much of an investment it would require on top of the down payment.
Thanks!

Tile grout?

by on Sep.14, 2008, under Bath

joep54321 asked:

We just moved into a home that has beautiful white tile floors in the bathroom, however the previous owners did not really keep up with cleaning the grout. They are 4″tiles so the grout in between then is very narrow. Also with the grout being rough it makes it very hard to clean. Any suggestions.

How can I reduce tile grout height?

by on Aug.26, 2008, under Bath

Bobbin asked:

I’ve had some Travertine mosaic tiles fitted in my kitchen and there’s a patch where the fitter hasn’t removed enough grout so its flush with the tile itself. What would be the best way/tool to reduce this by a couple of mm, if it is, at all possible . Grout used was a Mapei in the colour range.
