The computer, if I’m not mistaken, appears to be a Synclavier Digital Audio System terminal by NED (New England Digital).
The whole Synclavier system was definitely an expensive collection of hardware. Even though they are old, they are still used professionally.

Amazing that such a short piece of music takes such a large score.

This particular commercial perfectly conveys how your body of work affects me. Whenever I hear your music, I feel like you have walked into a room filled with cold, hard, metal machinery and somehow magically given them life and souls of their own. I was very young when I saw you on PBS’s Nova or Omni working on the Bally Xenon pinball machine. I would love to see any video you have on this project. Thanks again for your awesome magic. – Jeff

Gear porn heaven – a Marshall 5402 Time Modulator on top of the DEC terminal for the NED Synclav, another Marshall in the horizontal flight case along with a Bode 7702 vocoder and Eventide Harmonizer H949 Harmonizer, not to mention the lonely neglected Buchla 200 in the corner.

Who ever thought that a dishwasher commercial could be breathtaking? Combining gorgeous visuals with Suzanne’s extraordinary score = another masterpiece by Ms. Ciani! I have wanted to see this again for about 20 years now. (Wished it would be released on a CD in all its glory!!!) Thank you for making my day!
